We need your cell phone number to inform you about your username and personal link. If you don’t wish to share your cell phone number with your recipients, please mark the exclusion question.
Q: Can I have more than one cell phone number, e-mail address or website?
Although technically we can add a second phone number, e-mail address and website, we strongly advise not to follow that path, since some address book apps do not store data for the same class of information correctly.
Q: Can you make my paperless business card bilingual?
We sure can, provided the non-English language is left-to-right. Unfortunately, at this time we do not support right-to-left languages.
Q: In my 7-day trial I could only integrate my ScreenTag with Google Sheets. How do I upgrade my integration to my own CRM or e-mail marketing provider?
Upon conversion to full version, our team will contact you to get all tech specifications for your CRM or e-mail marketing service.
Q: Can I have more than one paperless business card installed on my phone?
Sure. You can have up to four paperless business cards installed on your phone. Each paperless business card is shared individually.
Q: How long does it take you to deliver my paperless business card?
It depends on the quality of details and graphics you submit to us. We usually deliver your ScreenTag username and link within the next business day.
Q: We don’t like personal links for our team to be under your screentag.app domain name. Can we get our own?
Domain names are one of the most essential branding elements for a business. You can have your own .cards domain name (we do the registration for you), provided that your brand name is available for registration and that is not considered to be a premium one. Bear in mind though, that custom domain names are available only with our business edition.
Q: I have signed up for a 7-day trial and entered my username under the relevant field in the app. Do I need to re-install the app to enter my username under full subscription?
No, you don’t need to re-install anything. Your 7-day trial converts automatically to full subscription.
Q: Can you help me add my ScreenTag link on my e-mail signature?
If you are using Office365 and you have delegated your Microsoft subscription to us, of course we can add your link for you. For any other e-mail client, you only need to simply copy and paste your personal ScreenTag link on your e-mail signature settings, along with a brief instructional message.
Q: How do recipients scan my QR code?
All iPhones and many Android phones have a QR code reading module embedded in their stock camera app. These recipients only need to open their camera and point to your QR code. For those without an embedded module in their stock camera app, any QR code reading app, opening links in a full browser, works fine. Your recipients do not need to download our app to get your contact details.
Q: Can I change the standard sharing message that is sent though text messages or e-mail?
Sure, you can. Please contact our customer care team through the messaging facility on our website, or by messaging us on Facebook or LinkedIn.
Q: Can I change the promo image on my landing page?
We know that your promotional activities may change over time. So, of course you can change your promo image, by contacting our customer care team.
Q: Our logo has changed. Once we submit the new logo, how long does it take you to update our ScreenTags?
Once you have approved your new layout, we will update your ScreenTag for all your users, by the next business day. Please note that your users will have to uninstall and then re-install our app for the new layout to be installed on their phones.
Q: I am trying to install the app from Play Store, but my device was rejected. Why is that?
Unfortunately, for certain features on our Android app to work, we need your phone running on Android v. 6.0 and above. Although we tried to retain backward compatibility with early versions of Android, v. 6.0 is the earliest we could make it. You can still share your contact info, though, using your personal ScreenTag link.
Q: The GDPR compliance statement in my contact file, is all I need to get my business to be GDPR compliant?
No. GDPR is about all data within your business, including your employees, customers and partners, not just data shared through business cards. However, given that business cards is a factor that is often overlooked by most businesses – even those who are GDPR-compliant – moving to a fully GDPR-compliant contact sharing solution, obviously strengthens your GDPR compliance.
Q: Who can access my contact details?
Technically, only people you share your ScreenTag link, through your app, your e-mail signature, or your social media profiles. However, this would depend on the chosen public username. If it is one that someone is easy to guess, you should expect that at least someone would try to access your contact details without getting the link from you. However, guessing user aliases is something we protect our users from, by blocking access from devices generating even one ‘file not found’ error. Until today, all devices that have attempted to intercept contact details of our users, have been blocked before they gain access to any contact files.
Q: Can you ensure me that you don’t spy on me or my recipients?
Sure, we can. We do not use tracking beams, we do not store cookies on any device, and we do not use relational databases to connect any information to another. We only monitor public facing access to individual files, to protect our users from malicious third parties looking to intercept contact detail files.
Q: How do I know you won’t spam my recipients?
We don’t spam your recipients, a) because we don’t want to and b) because we don’t know who they are. Your public facing landing pages, are free from tracking scripts and tracking files, so we have no way to gain access to any personal information. We are fully GDPR compliant, and we intend to remain so.
Q: How secure is your main database? Can you ensure me it cannot be hacked?
There is no on-line main database for a hacker to hack. All contact files are generated through an off-line database that only our authorised personnel have access to. Moreover, data in our off-line database cannot be copied, changed, or deleted, without our Data Protection Officer consent.
Q: Why EU-GDPR compliance is not required for the Personal Edition
EU General Data Protection Regulation is drawn up to regulate how businesses and professionals can gather, store, and combine personal identifiable information on individuals, while leaving unregulated how private individuals may treat personal information of their contacts for non-commercial use. Still, though, a private individual may not pass your contact details to a business, since the business is required to have your explicit consent to use that information.
Q: Why don’t you offer a free edition?
A free edition would mean that the cost incurred by our free users would be paid by our paying users. This is not fair for anyone. We prefer a more than affordable annual subscription, directly competitive to the cost of a minimum quantity of printed business cards, rather than a higher annual or monthly subscription paid by some users. Moreover, if you delegate your Office365 subscription to us, you won’t have to pay any subscription fees for ScreenTag, thus eliminating your ScreenTag subscription fees.
Q: What is the license fee all about?
Our license fee covers costs for setting up your account, designing your paperless business card, development of our app, and security software for our servers. Consider this the equivalent of the design cost for a printed business card. Our one-time license fee also helps up to keep our subscription fee low.
Q: Do you offer special pricing or discounts?
Given the fact that our pricing model is cost-based, we do not ask you to pay for anything, unless we have to pay for it as well. This leaves us very little space for special pricing or discounts.
Q: Is VAT or Sales Tax included in your fees?
Pricing advertised in our website is VAT/Sales Tax exclusive, with the exception of our Personal edition, where advertised pricing is VAT/Sales Tax inclusive.
