Collection and Use of Personal Information
Personal information is data that can be used to uniquely identify or contact a single person.
We collect information to process your order, deal with your queries, guide and enhance your online experience, supply you with information in which you have expressed an interest and for record keeping. We are committed to protecting your privacy and will only use your information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and General Data Protection Regulation.
General Data Protection Regulation Compliance Statement
ScreenTag Inc. – the company that has developed and marketing the ScreenTag platform – is collecting and processing non-sensitive personal data, either for marketing purposes or for subscriber-shared use of the platform.
I. Use for marketing purposes
- How we collect your data: Visitors of our website may provide us personal identifying data (name, cell phone number, e-mail address) to receive a working demo of our platform, or receive further information via e-mail, or newsletters and other online promotional activities from us. We DO NOT collect personal identifying data without consent from our visitors in any way (e.g. by use of software or devices), other than receiving our marketing messages and clicking on specific links within those messages (tracking beams).
- How we process your data: We DO NOT further process data received from visitors – with the exception of typing errors correction – NOR we collect further personal identifying information related to the data provided by the visitor from external sources.
- How we store your data: All data collected are stored in our e-mail marketing partner secure facilities located in Phoenix, Arizona – United States. All data collected are retained indefinitely, unless you instruct us to delete them.
- What your rights over data we collected from you for marketing purposes are: You have the right to access, modify and delete your personal identifying data, whenever you wish, by contacting our Data Protection Officer at dpo@screentag.mobi. There is no cost for exercising your rights.
- How we keep your data secure: Data collected are encrypted in our partner secure facilities. Decryption of your data is only possible by using a combination of a public and a private decryption key installed on the Data Controller’s computer terminal upon successful log-in process. While both us and the e-mail marketing partner strive to keep your data secure, if we are notified about a security breach, we will inform you about that breach within 72 hours.
- Use of tracking beams within our websites: We DO use tracking beams (pieces of JavaScript code) to track visitors in our websites. Those tracking beams are provided by third parties (namely, Facebook Inc., Google Inc. and LinkedIn Corp.) and are used by us for remarketing purposes. While such tracking beams can be used by each of those third parties to identify you personally, we do not gain access nor control to any personally identifying information held by them.
II. Use for providing our platform service to our customers
- How we collect your data: Our customers DO provide us non-sensitive personal identifying data (name, profession/position, employer name, work address, phone numbers, fax numbers, e-mail addresses, personal or business website URLs or social media profile URLs), they wish or find appropriate to share with their recipients by using our platform. We also DO collect usage information within a separate tracking system for statistical purposes only.
- How we process your data: We DO further process data collected from you by adding information such as date and time of collection or modification of collected data, nickname or code, transaction ID code or invoice number, Version 1 UUID code, subscription status indication and expiry date, code image URL, associated logo or image, sub-system domain name, contact data file URL and design file URL. However, we only assign such information when it’s imperative for our platform to function properly and reliably. We DO NOT process your data to build any kind of profile. We also DO NOT modify your contact details you provide to us, unless you or your employer explicitly instruct us to do so.
- How we store your data: All data collected are stored in clod servers operated by Microsoft (located in California) or Google (located in Iowa). Collected data are stored for as long as you remain an active subscriber in the platform. If your subscription is cancelled or fails to renew, your data shall remain stored in our servers for thirty calendar days upon expiration or cancellation of your subscription.
- What your rights over data we collected from you for marketing purposes are: You have the right to access, modify and delete any of your personal identifying data, whenever you wish, by visiting the link provided to you in an e-mail message upon completion of your registration with us, unless your contact details have been submitted by your employer for a Business edition ScreenTag – in that case, you may access, delete and modify your contact details by contacting the relevant person designated by your employer.
- How we keep your data secure: Personal identifying data collected are distributed by you in order to be accessed by recipients of your choice, by sharing your personal link to our servers, through your code image embedded QR code, or a direct link through your personal app or e-mail signature. Although direct access to recipients of your choice is anonymous and open to anyone aware of your personal link, we DO NOT allow access to visitors using randomly or sequentially generated links, by imposing security rules to our servers at IP address level. Any IP address attempting to gain access using randomly or sequentially generated links, or to gain access to the server index is permanently blocked from accessing our servers.
III. Use for providing our platform service to our customers’ data recipients
- How we collect your data: We DO NOT collect any personal identifying data from recipients of our customers’ contact details. Our customers however, may collect personal identifying data by utilising contact details collection forms provided by our partners. Each form, depending on the partner selected by each of our customers, is associated with a relevant data protection policy, available through a link underneath each contact details collection form.
- How we process your data: We DO NOT process data from recipients, other than IP addresses demonstrating suspicious behaviour; such IP addresses are used to block access (blacklist) to our servers.
- How we store your data: We DO NOT store any data from recipients other than IP addresses demonstrating suspicious behaviour; such IP addresses are permanently stored in our servers.
- What your rights over recipients’ data: Since data collected while accessing our platform servers are anonymous, you have no right to access, modify or delete any of the data we hold for blacklisted IP addresses.
- How we keep your data secure: We DO NOT share IP addresses accessing our platform servers, with the exception of those IP addresses demonstrating suspicious behaviour. WE MAY, however, share such IP addresses for reasons of public interest with other companies, organisations or public authorities at our own discretion, or to comply with legislation or court orders.
You acknowledge that many parts of the service provided on the Site may be provided by third-party service providers and not by us (e.g. by PayPal Inc.). You consent to us transferring your information to such third-party service providers for the purposes of dealing with your queries, orders and for record keeping.
When you enter credit card details you are in communication over a secure link with the PayPal payment system operated by PayPal Inc. and / or its subsidiaries (or such other financial system as may be used, from time to time). It retains details of the credit card transaction. You must enter the details for each purchase for security reasons.
For the purposes of this compliance statement, the appointed Data Controller by the Company, is Mr. Panagiotis Loutraris, and the appointed Data Protection Officer is Mrs. Mary-Joan Pavlakou, a Member of the Athens Bar Association in Greece.
Collection and Use of Non-Personal Information
We collect information regarding visitor activities on our website and our ScreenTag distribution server. This information is aggregated and used to help us provide more useful information to our customers and to understand which parts of our website, products, and services are of most interest. Aggregated data is considered non-personal information for the purposes of this Privacy Policy.
If we do combine non-personal information with personal information the combined information will be treated as personal information for as long as it remains combined.
Cookies and Other Technologies
Cookies are small packets of data stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive to help us to keep track of your activity in our website. Your browser may have a feature to disable cookies or you can delete them if you wish and your interface will not be severely restricted.
Please note that cookies can’t harm your computer. We don’t store personally identifiable information in cookies we create, but we do use encrypted information gathered from them to help improve your experience of the site. For example, they help us to identify and resolve errors. Non-functional cookies are generated by Google Analytics (a service provided by Google Inc.) These cookies are used to collect information about how visitors use our site. We use this information to compile reports that help us improve our website. The cookies collect information in an anonymous form, including the number of visitors to the site, where visitors have come to the site from and the pages they visited. If you take the opportunity to ‘share’ screentag.mobi content with friends through social networks – such as Facebook and Twitter – you may be sent cookies from these websites. Disclosure to Third Parties
We only disclose your personal information to local or international authorities when and where we are obliged by applicable local and international law.
We may also disclose information about you if we determine that disclosure is reasonably necessary to enforce our terms and conditions or protect our operations or users. Additionally, in the event of a reorganization, merger, or sale we may transfer any and all personal information we collect to the relevant third party.
Access to Personal Information
You can help ensure that your contact information and preferences are accurate, complete, and up to date by asking your client record for our customer service department. For other personal information, we make good faith efforts to provide you with access so you can request that we correct the data if it is inaccurate or delete the data if we are not required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes. However, we may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, are extremely impractical, or for which access is not otherwise required by local law. Access, correction, or deletion requests can be made by sending an e-mail message to dpo@screentag.mobi.
Children
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected the personal information of a child under 13 we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.
